Illustrated

This morning I received this beautiful illustration from Chels over at chelsdrawsou.com who makes adorable little fashion illustrations with her iPhone 6. I’ve always wanted to see myself as an illustration and this was such an amazing thing to wake up to this morning. I can’t get over how cute it is… it definitely put a smile on my face! I’m thinking I may even need to get a print of this to put up in my room… Thanks Chels! Check out the original outfit post she based her illustration off of here. Todays post will be a little short as I’m spending…

Paris is Always a Good Idea

While the title may suggest it I’m sad to tell you I’m not actually in Paris (wah!)… but I did get this beautiful silk scarf in Paris a few years back. I’ve recently become obsessed with scarves and the different ways you can style and wear them. I don’t know if the fact that my accessory of choice lately is a silk scarf means I’ve officially hit old lady status, but I love the way they make almost any outfit look polished and incredibly chic. There’s so many ways to tie a scarf and it’s fun experimenting with all the…

Set Sail

When I think of sailing I immediately think of preppy to the max. I imagine well dressed men & women in navy blue blazers with gold buttons layered over crisp dress shirt or polos in the signature nautical colours of red, white or blue. The ladies may have foregone blazers for a cashmere navy cardigan thrown over their shoulders just in case the breeze on the water gets a little too chilly. Maybe a few nautical striped polo dresses,…

Off Duty in Converse & Plaid

I’m a girl who tends to be over-dressed rather than under-dressed more often than not. Dressing up is so much fun, and I’m always looking for the next event or excuse to throw on something a little fancier than normal. But even though I love dressing up, my off duty style tends to be a lot more relaxed and casual. Because let’s face it… as much as us girls love a good pair of sky high heels (hello longer legs!) sometimes we just need to be super comfortable and throw on a pair of sneakers. Even a girl who loves…

Champagne Brunch

Weekend brunches have become a ritual and my absolute favourite part of the week. There’s nothing better than spending hours catching up with friends over hot cups of coffee, croissants, poached eggs, avocado toast, and the occasional pastry in a beautiful little restaurant or cafe… which Toronto of course has no shortage of. This Sunday we traded in our coffee for champagne as we toasted to one of my closest friend’s 30th birthday at Soho House. We stuffed our faces with omelettes, sausages, crepes with Nutella and berry compote, smoked salmon, cheeses and charcuterie,  and cinnamon poached pears topped with…
