If there’s any sign that Spring is just around the corner it’s the fact that temperatures have been hovering in the +10 degree range all weekend and the people of Toronto have already taken this as the perfect opportunity to enjoy their coffees and beers on various patios throughout the city. I love the fact that as soon as the temperatures reach a level where you are comfortable enough sitting outside in a coat, many coffee shops and bars open their patios up and allow patrons the option to enjoy their food and beverages outside. I’m so used to living somewhere where setting up the patio was a process that involved moving patio furniture and decor from storage, and restaurants and bars would wait until the weather is guaranteed to stay nice before getting the patios set up. This meant we were often waiting well into June before getting the opportunity to sit outside, and patio season often lasts no longer than 2-3 months.
With Spring just around the corner I felt it was the appropriate time to ditch the winter coat and head out on my Sunday morning stroll with just a sweater and fur vest. After what feels like months of being forced to always leave the house bundled up within an inch of my life, it was (quite literally) a breath of fresh air to be wearing considerably less layers. The sweater I’m wearing is quickly becoming one of my favourites, so much so that I bought it in two colours. It comes with a detachable turtleneck which makes it incredibly versatile and makes you feel like you’re getting two sweaters for the price of one. Something that I as a starving artist am more than okay with ;).
I paired my sweater and vest with some dark denim skinny jeans and black boots. I’ve been in love with these boots since I got them and I’m so happy I finally got the opportunity to do a post with them. I love the gold detailing on the toe as well as the buckles on the sides. Not to mention they’re extremely comfortable which is always a plus (and not easy to find) when it comes to high heeled footwear!
