Grey Days

Girls in relationships wear grey. This was the the topic of discussion between friends I took part in a while back. Apparently there is something about being in a relationship that casts a magic spell on women all around and makes them give up their otherwise loved brights for this less attention seeking neutral. Or so my friends were saying. I said I never wear grey. Yet apparently I do because here I am in grey, and I can assure you I am in no way in (or near being in) a relationship (with anything other than food that is). Does that count?

As much as I love my bright colours, I have to admit that sometimes it is nice to fall back to a comfortable neutral that isn’t as bright as white or as dark as black, but a happy medium between the two. Grey is practical, timeless, and sophisticated. It is also incredibly versatile. While it can be paired with an entire spectrum of colours, I chose to stick with shades of grey and black, and add just a pop of colour with cherry red accents. Although it wasn’t my original intent, I felt very Blair Waldorf in this outfit, minus the headband of course!
