A few weeks ago a friend and I started the ritual of making the most of our Sundays off and heading out on mini day trips outside of the city. Although we haven’t been very far yet, it’s been a great opportunity to escape the hustle and bustle of Toronto and explore some of what Ontario has to offer. I’m learning quickly that there really is so much to see and do not only in Toronto, but just a short drive away.
Our first trip took us less than an hour away to Hamilton which has a surprisingly long list of things to see and do, many of which we didn’t have the time to check out due to a late start. We had a late lunch at delicious thai restaurant, then set out to Weir’s Lane Lavender & Apiary (look for more on it in a future post!). Our last stop was Weber Falls where we hiked to the viewpoints of two different waterfalls. It was a beautiful walk, and I promise I wasn’t wearing heels for it!

Doesn’t this bridge look like it belongs in Lord of the Rings?

One of the biggest trends this season is off the shoulder tops and dresses. It’s sexy and chic, and honestly looks good on anyone. I’m absolutely in love with everything off the shoulder and knew I had to get in on the trend right away. Unfortunately, being on an artists’ budget means I couldn’t just drop everything and head to the shops. So what did I do? I improvised. The top I’m wearing is actually a dress I already owned from H&M that I’m wearing as a top. I pulled the sleeves down so they would be off the shoulder, and paired it with a pair of simple white cuffed jeans creating an on trend look with items I already owned. I loved this look so much though I would be lying if I said I wasn’t going to head out and buy a few more off the shoulder tops.. I just can’t help myself!
What I Wore:
Dress (worn as a shirt) – H&M // Jeans – Guess // Bag – Aldo // Heels – Expressions // Earrings – H&M // Sunglasses – Thierry Lasry
Wishing you all a happy humpday <3
