Oh man… This office makeover has been a long time in the making and it feels so amazing to have it finally complete. I think it was back in March that I first reached out to Wayfair wanting to make over the office space in my condo because (well, you’ll see below) it was pretty much a disaster. At this point I never used my desk (because who really wants to sit at a messy desk in a cluttered room?) so I always did my work from my bed. As much as I was able to be productive from the comfort of my bed sheets, my work days had me feeling extremely sluggish and gross. It’s hard to sit in bed all day and not feel like a sack of crap, even if you’re a sack of crap that got a lot of work done. I knew that my productivity, efficiency, and overall sense of wellbeing and happiness would skyrocket as soon as I had an office space that I could call my own.
I was so so so excited when Wayfair agreed to work with me. I’ve always been a big fan of Wayfair because they have so many great furniture items ranging from budget friendly to ultra luxe, and it’s so much fun to browse their site. I knew going into this makeover that working with such a small condo office space was going to be a challenge, and that I needed to figure out how to maximize the little space I had. I spent hours scouring Pinterest for inspiration and browsing Wayfair’s website, pinning every office item I fell in love with. I knew from the start that I really wanted a reading nook (I read a LOT) and I also knew it was absolutely necessary that I get an area rug to make the space a little cozier. Beyond that I knew I wanted to incorporate pinks and pastels in some way or another, but the rest was to be determined. I started by pinning all the armchairs, area rugs, and other office furniture I liked, slowly forming a color scheme, and from that point my vision started to take place. It took a lot of time going through Wayfair’s website, making lists of everything I liked and narrowing it down to stay in budget… but I was so happy with the items I picked out and even happier when they arrived.
My vision changed throughout the process, and I was super lucky when Tonic Living reached out to me also wanting to work together. Because of them I was able to maximize the space in the office even more, creating a little seating area that wasn’t in the original plan – and I just adore the little ottomans I got from them! Tonic Living also provided the lux velvet pillows that helped to tie in the space, and I even ended up using the fabric swatches they sent over to create some matching wall art (Talk about artwork on a budget).
Thanks to Wayfair & Tonic Living I was able to create a super cute office space that I now use daily. It’s honestly become my favourite place in my condo, and I cringe when I look at the photos of what it looked like before. Hope you enjoy checking out the transformation, and I’ve linked all the decor and furniture items I used below!
