Now onto the guide of the most Instagrammable places in Miami! I’ve divided this guide into Miami Beach & Mainland Miami to make planning your trip easier.
Most Instagrammable Places in Miami – Miami Beach
Miami beach (although it may sound like a beach) is actually an entire city. Miami beach is an island city that’s connected to mainland Miami by a bridge. When most people talk about visiting Miami, they usually mean Miami beach and that’s where you’ll likely spend most of their time!
Here are the most instagrammable places in Miami Beach:
1. Ocean Drive
You cant visit Miami without taking a photo on the most iconic street in Miami! Here you’ll find plenty of pastel-hued art deco buildings, hotels, restaurants and shops, vintage cars, a roaring nightlife, and of course plenty of palm trees lining the streets.
If get the strange feeling you’ve seen Ocean Drive when you get there, but you haven’t actually been, it’s likely because Ocean Drive has been featured in so many movies. Here are a couple of movies you just might recognize Ocean Drive from: Scarface, There’s Something About Mary and Marley and Me.
If you’re looking for the most instagrammable places in Miami, you definitely can’t skip Ocean Drive!
2. Colourful lifeguard towers at South Pointe Beach
Located at: 1 Washington Ave, Miami Beach
These are probably my favourite and the most fun on this list of instagrammable places in Miami. I just love the iconic colourful lifeguard towers in Miami, but especially the ones at South Pointe beach!
Expect to see all sorts of bright colours and fun shapes as you stroll along the beach. I think my favourite is the purple and orange lifeguard tower that reminds me of a stegosaurus.
Shooting Tip: Head to South Pointe beach in the morning just after sunrise and you’ll likely have the whole beach to yourself.
3. Dreamer Acai & Juice Bar
Located at: 1225 20th St Ste1, Miami Beach
Dreamer Acai & Juice Bar is a super instagrammable juice, smoothie, and healthy eats bar with two locations in Miami. One is in Miami Beach (the one I’ve taken photos at here) and the other is in SOFI (south of fifth). Although it’s more of a quick eats place it’s definitely one of my favourite restaurants in South Beach
Both locations of Dreamer are incredibly instagrammable. The interiors feature pink flamingo wallpaper, palm prints, lush tropical plants, and all sort of instagram worthy pillows and knick knacks.
If you decide to order yourself a smoothie bowl you’ll quickly come to realize that even the smoothies are instagrammable at Dreamer!
4. Miami Beach Botanical Garden
Located at: 2000 Convention Center Dr, Miami Beach
A fun and totally FREE activity to do while visiting Miami Beach is the Miami Beach Botanical Garden. Here you’ll find all the lush tropical vibes that will make you feel like you stepped right into a jungle. And of course you’ll find all sorts of instagrammable corners!
5. Faena
Located at: 3201 Collins Ave, Miami Beach
If you’re looking for a super luxe looking art piece to grab a pic with than look no further than Hirst’s golden mammoth at Faena. Faena is a luxury hotel in Miami beach and definitely worth popping by.
Although it is a private resort, if you stop by for some eats or drinks at one of their bars/restaurants you do get access to the grounds!
Most Instagrammable Places in Miami – Mainland Miami
Although the mainland portion of Miami is definitely less touristy, you’ll find all sorts of things to do there and lots of great photo spots. It’s definitely worth making a day trip or two from Miami beach to check out some of the highlights on the mainland portion of Miami.
Here are the most instagrammable places in Miami’s mainland!
6. Vizcaya Museum and Gardens
Located at: 3251 S Miami Ave, Miami
The Villa Vizcaya Museum and Gardens are a beautiful sprawling villa and garden that will take your breath away. Although entrance is about $20 per person it’s definitely worth it. This is probably the most instagrammable place in all of Miami!
There’s also no surprise that a lot of wedding and engagement shoots happen here, it’s just so beautiful.
7. Little Havana
Located at: 1513 SW 8th St, Miami (Ball & Chain)
You can’t visit Miami without spending a day in Little Havana! Little Havana is a colorful and rich in culture latino dominated neighbourhood that will transport you to Cuba. Located about a 25 minute drive from South Beach, you won’t want to miss visiting this vibrant area.
While you’re in Little Havana make sure to stop by the Ball & Chain (it’s a bar) to have a tropical cocktail and take photos with their outdoor pineapple stage!
Click here for my full guide on how to spend a day in Little Havana, Miami.
8. Wynwood Walls
Located at: 2520 NW 2nd Ave, Miami
You’ll pretty much find Wynwood Walls on every single list of the most instagrammable places in Miami, and there’s no surprise why!
This completely free outdoor museum features graffiti murals by some of the world’s best graffiti artists living in Miami.
Stop for brunch or lunch at Wynwood diner across the street before heading out to check out the colorful and ultra instagrammable murals of Wynwood Walls.
Safety Tip: While Wynwood and the Design District are wonderful (and very colorful) places to visit in Miami, it is important to note that you won’t want to wander outside of these areas. The surrounding neighbourhoods have much higher crime rates aren’t deemed safe to tourists, especially at night.
9. The Design District
Located at: 4000 NE 1st Ave, Miami
If you’re looking for more vibrant colors and artsy architecture look no further than Miami’s Design District! Located just a 6 minute drive (or 24 minute walk) from Wynwood Walls, Miami’s Design District is chock full of great instagram photo spots.
Since the weather was nice (surprise surprise – it’s Miami!) we opted to walk here from Wynwood walls and it was a beautiful walk with lots of murals and art along the way.
10. Swan – Bar Bevy
Located at: 90 NE 39th St, Miami
Located in the Design District you’ll find this beautiful indoor/outdoor dining restaurant and bar that’s super instagrammable. Swan is a beautiful restaurant bar with a soft and girly aesthetic on the inside, and the outdoor patio is full of lush tropical plants. Whether you sit inside or outside you’ll find all sorts of instagrammable places in this Miami restaurant.
