Montreal for F1 with Chandon

A couple weeks ago I got the opportunity of a lifetime to head off to Montreal for Formula 1 with Chandon. For those of you that don’t know (shame!!) what Chandon is, it’s a delicious sparkling wine from Napa Valley under the Moet-Hennessy umbrella. I like to think of Chandon as the perfect summer sipper, but realistically it’s great year round and absolutely doesn’t require special occasion to enjoy… Although let me tell ya, there’s something about drinking it in a new city that makes it that much better!

While our Montreal trip was short and sweet, we got the opportunity to truly experience the excitement of the city during Formula 1. From (sparkling) wining and dining at some of the hottest restaurants, to go-karting, and checking out the races.. We couldn’t have asked for a better time. Thank you so much to Chandon for hosting us on this unforgettable whirlwind trip to Montreal! It was so great to get to explore the city with you, and even better to get to do it with copious amounts of Chandon flowing!

I hope you enjoy getting a little glimpse into my whirlwind F1 trip to Montreal with Chandon!

Day 1: Chandon Pit Stop Launch

We arrived in Montreal on a Wednesday morning, and after checking into our beautiful hotel (the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth) the Chandon Squad (Me, Lyndsey, and Stephanie) changed and headed out for lunch at Siam with the rest of the Chandon team. It was such a wonderful welcome to get to enjoy Chandon on the patio in a new city, and enjoy one of Montreal’s newest Thai restaurants (which had amazing food by the way).

After lunch we had some free time before the evening’s big events, and Lyndsey and I headed out to explore old Montreal a bit. It was the first time I had been in Montreal since grade 6 (so long ago) and it was great to have a chance to explore. I fell in love with the city right away – and ultimately that’s what led me to visit yet again two weeks later! After exploring the city, having ice cream on the pier and frantically chasing down Lyndsey’s hat which a gust of wind sent flying into the lake (we got a passing paddle boater to save it) it was time to rush back to the hotel and change for the evening’s festivities…

The evening had us sipping Chandon in style at the Chandon Pit Stop Launch event. We got to watch some of the drivers race in go-karts & have a cocktail competition all while sipping Chandon in Dorchester Square. Not a bad way to spend a Wednesday evening if you ask me :). After the Chandon Pit Stop Launch Party we headed to Kampai for dinner and then Mayfair for Chandon and dancing. It was the perfect end to an exciting first day.

Exploring the city for the first time in over 17 years, I can’t believe it had been this long.

The picture we managed to snap about 2 minutes before a gust of wind sent Lyndsey’s hat flying over the bridge.

While I love the classic Chandon, nothing speaks to me quite like a good Rose… and Chandon Rose is no exception

The only kind of racing you’ll catch me doing – with mini remote control cars.

What I wore to the Chandon pit stop event. Would you believe me if I told you this dress was a hand-me-down from my mama?

Day 2: Off to the Races!

Day 2 had us headed to the F1 grounds which was soooo exciting for me. I’ve only ever been to the races once before, way back when the Indy used to come to Edmonton. We took a boat to get to the suite, and after dropping off our bags we got to head down to the pit where the cars get their tires changed. It was so cool to get to be right there in the action (even though let’s be honest, I didn’t have a clue what was going on lol).

After checking out the pit stop we headed back to the suite for lunch. It was so exciting to get to be right there in the McLaren and Chandon suite, enjoying an amazing lunch while sipping bubbly and listening to the cars wizzing by… definitely a surreal experience! After an amazing lunch and spending the day out on the Formula 1 grounds, we headed back to the hotel to change before heading out to the terrace Hotel William Grey, followed by dinner at the UNREAL Jatoba. Chandon, you seriously took us on a culinary adventure in these two days, and we couldn’t have asked for better food during our stay!!

Having tons of energy in us from such an eventful day, Lyndsey and I topped our day off by heading to Flyjin after dinner to dance the night away… which might have had me feeling less than ideal the next day, but let me tell you, it was worth it. I don’t think I’ve danced that hard for that long in years… it must have been the Chandon ;).

On the boat and totally photobombing Lyndsey’s stories

When you get three bloggers in one room, you can expect them to use every photo opportunity possible!

I absolutely love this dress from Honey I wore to F1. It was the perfect daytime chic dress!

The food was so good I had to pinch myself. I couldn’t believe I was getting to enjoy food this good right next to the track, listening to the sound of the cars zooming past.

No but seriously, the food was SO good. This dessert had us all wanting seconds.

Do I look like I know what I’m doing?

Thank you Chandon for the amazing time at F1 in Montreal, and for having me as a part of your Chandon Squad!

.

With Love,
