It’s not often that a brand new hotel pops open in a city and you have the chance to experience it within a month of its opening.
But somehow, I was lucky enough to stay with the brand new Humaniti Hotel Montreal within weeks of when it first opened its doors.
Little did I know that this Montreal hotel was going to quickly become one of my favourites.
I’ve visited Montreal a few times over the past few years (you can read about my last visit to Montreal with Chandon here), and Humaniti was definitely one of the most memorable hotels I’ve stayed at there.

About the Humaniti Hotel Montreal
In my opinion, I would best describe Humaniti Hotel Montreal as an oasis in the city.
It’s the perfect escape for a weekend getaway that will leave you feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and most of all – relaxed.
Humaniti Hotel is Quebec’s first Marriott Autograph Collection Hotel, and it definitely did not disappoint!
Designed by Andres Escobar, Humaniti Hotel Montreal, it is combination of human inspiration and innovative architecture with a focus on sustainability.
Here you will find inspiring and modern design with pops of vibrant colors that will almost make you feel like you’re in a high end art gallery.
Everything has been carefully curated here and the design is truly impeccable.
Upon arriving in the Humaniti Hotel Montreal you will immediately see the careful thought and planning that went into designing each and every aspect of the hotel.
From the artfully decorated lobby to the beautiful H3 Restaurant and modern & bright rooms. There is so much to love about this 193 room hotel in downtown Montreal.
Location
Located in the heart of downtown Montreal on the edge of Old Montreal, Humaniti Hotel is the perfect place to stay for those visiting the city who want to explore.
You won’t need a vehicle when staying here, because you can easily walk to most of the top attractions.
Lined with shops, restaurants and bars, Humaniti Hotel is also just steps away from the subway line.
It’s easy to get to anywhere you need to in Montreal from the Humaniti Hotel.
The Rooms
The rooms at Humaniti Hotel Montreal provide you with a tranquil space where you can truly feel relaxed and comfortable.
Expect modern design, spacious rooms, artistic touches, and lots of natural light!
Floor to ceiling windows give you great views of the surrounding city while allowing lots of natural light in to brighten up the space.
Rooms also have a sitting area with fun and vibrant chairs that make for the perfect place to get some work done. I spent a lot of time working here!
Each room is also equipped with a Nespresso machine and healthy minibar snacks that are all sourced locally.
Bedroom
Guest rooms at Humaniti Hotel are available with 1 King bed or 2 Queen beds.
Expect to get a great night sleep here as these are some of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in!
Sometimes I find it challenging to sleep in a new bed, but I slept like a baby all three nights that we were here.
Bathroom
One of the easiest ways to determine whether a hotel is great or not is through the bathrooms.
The bathrooms at Humaniti Hotel are spacious, modern, and luxurious.
I also found the lighting in them to be great which can always be a challenge with hotels.
I find sometimes the bathrooms are too dark and impossible to do your makeup in. That was definitely not an issue here!
The bathrooms are also stocked with premium vegan-friendly, eco-conscious bath products.
I just love when hotels have great bath products!
The Rooftop Pool
When I mentioned that Humaniti Hotel Montreal is an oasis in the city, this is exactly what I meant.
When I think of vacation, I think of long days relaxing poolside in the sun with a good book.
I think of lounging on a day bed surrounded by lush greenery and sparkling turquoise waters.
That’s exactly what you get at the rooftop pool at the Humaniti Hotel Montreal.
The pool was hands down my favourite part of the hotel.
I would have been happy if I could have spent my entire time in Montreal just laying out here.
We spent a few hours each day laying out by the pool and soaking up the sun and it was pure bliss.
Humaniti Hotel Montreal did such an incredible job in creating a space that truly allows you to feel that vacation bliss in the heart of the city.
I would stay here again just to get to lay by the pool again!
The Food at Humaniti Hotel Montreal
Food is always an important factor for me in considering which hotels to stay with.
The Humaniti Hotel Montreal definitely knocked it out of the park in terms of their menus and offerings!
In-Room Dining
One of my favourite parts of hotel stays is always having breakfast in bed.
Nothing quite beats having an amazing meal delivered directly to your room and enjoyed from the comforts of your bed.
The in-room dining menu at Humaniti Hotel Montreal features delectable offerings from their H3 Restaurant.
All dishes are made with only the freshest ingredients, and new offerings are available every single week so no matter how many times you stay here you’ll always get to try something new.
For breakfast I had the classic breakfast of eggs which was served sauteed potatoes, maple bacon, Le Rang4 sausage, and pulled pork. It was so amazing!
My friend had the duck confit omelet which he said was one of the best omelettes he’s ever had. It had mushrooms, spinach, and Artisan’s duck confit!
Talk about a gourmet breakfast!
Whether you choose to have breakfast in bed like me, an evening snack, or just order in a bottle from the extensive wine list, you’ll find they have excellent in-room dining offerings at the Humaniti Hotel.
We were beyond satisfied with our amazing in-room dining experience and the excellent selection offered on their menu.
H3 Restaurant, Lounge & Terrace
At Humaniti Hotel there are 3 different places you can choose to dhine or have a cocktail at.
The H3 Restaurant, Lounge, & Terrace are all under the same restaurant, however they each offer their own unique spaces and experience.
Whether you choose to have a formal dinner in the restaurant, casual drinks and a light bite in the lounge, or prefer to enjoy an evening cocktail by the pool on the rooftop terrace you will enjoy your time!
Although I didn’t get photos of it, one of my favourite places to hang out at the Humaniti Hotel Montreal (beyond the pool) was the H3 Terrrace.
The H3 Terrace is a spacious patio space located just off the side of the pool on the 9th floor of the hotel.
Open from 3pm-10pm each evening, it’s a great place to grab dinner or a drink in the evening and just enjoy the sights and sounds of the city.
The Spa
If the pool, location and excellent dining options aren’t enough to convince you than perhaps the on-site spa at the Humaniti Hotel Montreal will be.
The spa at Humaniti is an oasis of serenity and relaxation that offers an extensive list of services from massages and facials, beauty treatments, manicures, pedicures and everything in between.
Treat yourself to one of their amazing services and enjoy being pampered in a stunning environment.
Additional Amenities
Beyond an incredible rooftop pool, restaurant, lounge, terrace, and spa, here are the additional amenities and offerings at the Humaniti Hotel:

- Dog friendly (Additional fee of only $50 per dog)
Final Thoughts
After having spent 3 amazing nights at Montreal’s newest hotel, I can definitely say that this is one hotel you’ll want to stay at next time you visit.
From the incredible rooftop pool that truly is an oasis in the city, to the stunning architecture and design, great location, restorative spa & wellness centre, spacious rooms, comfortable beds, and of course all the amazing food.
Humaniti Hotel Montreal really is both a destination unto itself and a gateway to all the city of Montreal has to offer.
