Guys, where has Spring gone? For the last week temperatures in Toronto have been hovering around the 0 degree mark (or below!!) and we’ve had a couple encounters already with snow. I’m talking full blown mini-blizzards. Meanwhile our friends out west (I’m looking at you Alberta & BC) have been frolicking around in +20 degree weather enjoying what appears to be an early summer. I’ve been trying to make myself feel better about the situation by telling myself Alberta will definitely see snow again before summer. It’s the only way I’ve managed to stay sane as I trudge down York street in my Hunter boots and winter coat while reading texts from my mom and friends back home about how the “weather there is just so great! +21!”. Ugh. On a positive note it does appear that the temperatures are once again slowly rising, and soon it may feel like Spring again here in the big city.

Luckily the weather managed to cooperate with me just long enough to get outside and take pictures in this outfit. For a short period of time I had actually believed that maybe it was going to be a nice day out. The sun was shining brightly, the sky was blue. But within an hour of arriving back home it was snowing once again. If that’s not proof on why it is important to check the weather before venturing out, I don’t know what is.

I’m so excited to be doing another post in these Levi’s overalls I got for Christmas. I still can’t get over how cute and chic they are (not to mention oh so comfy!). Overalls are such a great quick fix when you want to look effortlessly chic, but still casual. They look great with flats, boots, heels, and you can be really creative with what you wear on top. I wore my overalls with a grey & white striped long sleeve T-shirt from Loft. The necklace portion is actually a part of the shirt, cute touch right? And of course to brighten the outfit up (or because I’m obsessed with red) I added pops of cherry red with these cute Marc Fisher pumps and my favourite Kate Spade crossover bag.
