We all have that one country we’ve visited that immediately took our hearts the moment we stepped foot in it. We fall in love with the food, the architecture, the people and the culture. It’s the kind of place that immediately feels right, like you’ve walked into a dream.

For me, that’s exactly how I felt the moment I arrived in Greece. Mykonos in particular is such a fun and vibrant city. Although it’s best known for it’s party scene, Mykonos has so much more to offer.

Where to Stay when Visiting Mykonos

Before we get started, you might have already booked your entire Mykonos getaway, or you might be just in the planning stages.

If you’re in the planning stages and looking for a great budget hotel recommendation for your Mykonos stay, I highly recommend the Olia Hotel Mykonos.

If you read my guide on how to visit Santorini on a budget you’ll know that affordable accomodations are really important to me. However, I am still picky in terms of wanting the places I stay to look like they aren’t cheap.

Olio Hotel Mykonos is not only super affordable but is a beautiful little hotel with an incredible pool. I couldn’t recommend it enough!

Now onto the list of the most instagrammable places and best photo spots in Mykonos!

Hello Kirsten, your infos are so interesting and your photos are absolutely gorgeous! Can you tell me the exact location of your photo taken in the turquoise stairs where we barely see the name (I think) L'Atelier on the opposite side of these beautiful stairs? (You are wearing a yellow print dress on the photo). Thanks!

Hi Manon, I am so sorry for the delayed reply! I tried to find the information for the exact spot but unfortunately it was so long ago and this was just a spot I found wandering around the old town of Mykonos. I am sure if you wander around you will stumble on it too. So sorry I can't provide you with a more specific location!
