That’s why I’ve put together this guide of some of the best restaurants in South Beach.

Best Restaurants in South Beach – Cheap Eats ($-$$)
Time Out Market
Address: 1601 Drexel Ave
Time Out Market is a food hall located in South Beach that boasts over 20 vendors with food ranging from fresh oysters to mouth watering burgers, healthy vegan eats to tasty sweet treats from the likes of the infamous Azucar ice cream.
They also have a wine and cocktail bar if you’re looking for an afternoon beverage.
If you’re looking for a one-stop shop for the best in Miami food then this is definitely the place for you!
Oh! Mexico
Address: 2 South Beach locations: 1412 Ocean Drive, and 1440 Washington Ave
Oh! Mexico is rated one of the best casual lunch spots in South Beach, so if you’re craving some Mexican flavours this is one South Beach restaurant you’ll have to try!
Open since 1997, Oh! Mexico brings authentic Mexican food to Miami Beach.
Here you’ll find everything from real Mexican flavours and fresh guacamole, to artisan Mexican furniture, and of course great margaritas, tequila cocktails and a wonderful selection of tequilas.
Grab a seat on the patio and enjoy an authentic Mexican meal under the sun, you won’t regret it!
Hosteria Romana
Address: 429 Española Way
Hosteria Romana is arguably the best authentic (affordable) Italian restaurant in South Beach.
Their pizza, pasta, and fresh bread is to die for.
We asked a few locals where we could get some of the best Italian pizza in Miami and this was the answer!
It’s no surprise why their slogan is “Where Italians go for Italian”.
Hosteria Romana is a bustling Italian eatery with amazing food and excellent service located on Espanola way and is definitely worth a visit.
Have a seat on their trattoria and enjoy the lively environment and entertaining waitstaff, it truly makes for a lovely dining experience!
Pop by the gelato shop across the street to put a sweet finish to your Italian meal.
La Sandwicherie
Address: 229 14th St
Two words: Heavenly. Sandwiches. If that doesn’t appeal to you I don’t know what will.
La Sandwicherie features daily fresh ingredients, crisp baguettes or soft croissants and the added magic of the infamous vinaigrette that make for a true taste sensation.
They’re also open every day from 7am to 5am so whether you’re wanting a lunch or you’re needing an after-bar snack La Sandwicherie has you covered!
Tapelia Spanish Cuisine
Address: 551 Lincoln Rd
Feeling like some incredible Spanish food? Tapelia is the answer!
Tapelia offers Spanish cooking & specialty cocktails in a relaxed setting with TV sports.
This extremely highly rated restaurant is one you definitely don’t want to miss during your time in Miami.
In fact, it’s rated 4.8 on Google and has almost 15k reviews!
Tapelia has not only been recognized for their outstanding Spanish cuisine, but also their excellent service and friendly staff.
Here you are sure to not only have a great meal, but a great time.
Grab yourself a pint or a glass of Spanish wine and dig into some authentic Spanis paella while watching the game on the big screens.
Garcia’s Seafood Grille & Fish Market
Address: 398 NW N River Dr.
If you’re looking for a delicious but unpretentious seafood experience in Miami, Garcia’s Seafood Grille & Fish Market is the place to go.
The restaurant prides itself on using only the freshest ingredients, with fish caught by its own fleet of boats and prepared in the kitchen for immediate service.
They offer a wide variety of seafood appetizers and dishes, including oysters, crab cakes, conch fritters, and shrimp, as well as sandwiches and salads featuring fish like grouper and mahi-mahi.
For something truly unique, try the chef’s specials like lobster ravioli, butterfly snapper, and seafood creole.
My mouth is watering just writing this!
You definitely have to try the seafood at Garcia’s Seafood Grille & Fish Market during your time in Miami.
Best Restaurants in South Beach -Mid-Range Dining ($$$)
Dreamer Acai Juice Matcha
Address: 1225 20th St. Ste1
Dreamer is definitely one of the most instagrammable places in Miami.
It’s an adorable juice and healthy eats superfood bar with a pink tropical theme.
Flamingo wallpaper covers the walls and tropical plants fill every corner.
Although you will be paying a premium for your smoothies & nibbles at Dreamer, it’s because they only use the highest quality and freshest ingredients with a superfood focus.
It’s definitely worth a visit!
Byblos
Address: 1545 Collins Ave
Byblos represents a marriage of Eastern Mediterranean cuisine with strong influences from both traditional and local ingredients.
The interior of Byblos is absolutely stunning and considering they’re originally from Toronto I had to add them to the list.
They were also named one of the hottest new restaurants in Miami so you know they’re worth a visit!
Joe’s Stone Crab
Address: 11 Washington Ave
Ranked one of Miami’s most popular eateries, Joe’s Stone Crab is a must visit while you’re in the area.
Established in 1913 it’s one of Miami’s most historical restaurants.
Make sure to make stone crab the focus of your meal and load up on sides.
Don’t pass on the key lime pie either!
They do not take reservations so expect a bit of a wait if you’re arriving during prime seating time.
Planta
Address: 850 Commerce St
For the Vegans and Vegan food lovers!
Planta is one of my favourite restaurants in Toronto and so you better believe the South Beach location (the original) had to make the list.
Beyond being incredibly instagrammable, Planta has incredible food that Vegans and non Vegans alike will love.
Planta was opened with the purpose of creating delicious food that promotes environmental sustainability.
Their vision is to celebrate innovative cuisine in a beautiful environment without the use of any animal products.
A Fish Called Avalon
Address: 700 Ocean Dr
A Fish called Avalon has been a seafood staple on Ocean Drive for over 30 years.
They’ve won numerous awards for their impeccable seafood dishes and never cease to impress.
A Fish Called Avalon features freshly caught seafood and have options to dine inside or out on their street patio overlooking the ocean.
Ole Ole Steak House
Address: 626 Lincoln Rd
Another extremely highly rated restaurant (4.9 stars on Google with almost 18k reviews!) is Ole Ole Steak House.
At Ole Ole Steakhouse, the menu is a reflection of the owners’ love for travel and diverse cultures.
Using only the freshest ingredients, the restaurant serves a wide variety of homemade dishes that transport diners on a culinary journey.
Here you can expect to find a great assortment of grilled meats & paella in a vibrant eatery.
Feeling like you want to eat something a little more basic?
Not to worry! They also have pizza, pasta & burgers.
With ratings this high and steaks that look that good, you know you can’t miss having lunch or dinner at Ole Ole Steakhouse during your time in Miami!
Stiltsville Fish Bar

Another very highly rated seafood restaurant in Miami is Stiltsville Fish Bar.
Stiltsville Fish Bar is a casual and neighborhood-friendly restaurant located in the Sunset Harbor neighborhood.
The restaurant is known for its high-quality seafood and Key West-inspired drinks, which attract locals to the area.
The restaurant’s atmosphere is relaxed, whether you choose to dine in the dining room, grab a seat at the bar, or enjoy a sunset from a hammock chair.
Stiltsville Fish Bar is the perfect spot for a delicious seafood meal and a relaxing drink.
Yardbird Table & Bar
Address: 1600 Lenox Ave
Looking for a little Southern Comfort in Miami? Yardbird Table & Bar is for you!
Here you can expect to go on a culinary journey through a menu of unapologetically indulgent dishes and heady bourbon cocktails.
Expect comfort food like chicken & waffles, cornbread, lobster mac & cheese, and so much more.
The food here is so incredibly flavourful and comforting, you’ll want to come back again!
Do yourself a favour though and make sure you try the fried chicken, you just can’t visit Yardbird Table & Bar without trying it!
Best Restaurants in South Beach – Splurge-worthy Dining ($$$$)
Gianni’s – THE Luxury dining restaurant in South Beach
Address: 1116 Ocean Dr
Gianni’s is the epitome of luxury dining on my best restaurants in South Beach list.
This restaurant is located in the Versace Mansion (the former home of Gianni Versace) and is stunning inside.
Gianni’s is an upscale mediterranean seafood restaurant that’s decked out in frescoes, mosaics & a gold-lined pool. Yes. a gold-lined pool.
You’ll definitely want to have your camera ready when visiting this opulent and historic restaurant!
Azabu – The best Japanese restaurant in South Beach
Address: 161 Ocean Dr
Our dinner at Azabu (located in The Marriott Stanton South Beach) was hands down the best Japanese food I have ever had.

All I have to say here is every course was better than the next and we couldn’t stop eating even when we were full to the brim.
Some of my favourite dishes at Azabu were the Lobster tempura, the tuna pizza, Azabu house salad and the king crab fried rice.
But to be honest every single dish we had was amazing and you really can’t go wrong!
Azabu definitely wins for best Japanese restaurant in South Beach. Our dinner was absolutely incredible!

Wow you think Joe’s Stone Crab is mid-range? You must be wealthy then. It’s very expensive, BUT it is worth every penny!

Upper end of mid range! It's considered $$$ on Google. I could have separated it as low - $, mid - $$, and high - $$$-$$$$, but instead I organized it as high being just $$$$ to really separate the super pricey places :)
