Skincare, especially finding the right products for your skin, can be extremely overwhelming. Not only are there (what feels like) millions of different brands, but within each brand there’s a wide range of different price points, types of products that target different issues, skin complexions, and specific areas. To make matters even more complex skincare products come in lotions, oils, foams, scrubs, you name it there’s a product out there. Personally I have never been loyal to any specific brand for a long period of time. Maybe because I just hadn’t found my miracle cream yet, or maybe just because I’m always curious to try new products (especially when I see something new on sale!). Little did I know that was about to change as soon as I tried Charlotte Tilbury’s Miracle Day & Night creams.
In the past I was *very* skeptical of super expensive face creams and whether they were actually worth even a fraction of what people paid for them. I’m talking the creme de la creme of skincare, (or should I say the creme de la mer of skincare?).. the creams people like me only ever read about in magazines.. Celebrities spending upwards of hundreds of dollars on for one tiny pot of face cream. Could the cream be really that amazing that it would be worth spending a small fortune on? It just never seemed realistic to me that a face cream could be actually worth THAT much. Until I tried Charlotte Tilbury. While not quite as expensive as La Mer (which I am very curious to try now), Charlotte Tilbury’s magic creams run for around $125 for the day cream and $165 for the night cream, which is still a pretty penny for a starving artist like me. What I can say though, is it’s completely worth it guys. I’ve been using these for the past 3 months and I’m in love… Read on for my reviews!
Charlotte’s Magic Cream –
Over 20 years ago Charlotte Tilbury started mixing her magic cream backstage for models and celebrities alike. She used it backstage on them for years and it quickly turned into a cult like product that everyone fell in love with and wanted to get their hands on. As she explains on her website, Charlotte’s magic cream is a secret mix of patented anti-age ingredients, a hyaluronic acid booster, plus flora extracts that lift and transform tired skin in an instant. Think of a wilting flower that’s just been watered – skin is flooded with moisture for a glowing complexion in a flash, no matter how dehydrated or lacklustre your skin may look.
Some of the ingredients include:
- BioNymph Peptide Complex – anti-aging ingredient that multi-tasks in the skin, fighting the ageing process on all fronts
- SPF15 and an anti-UVA filter to protect the skin from year-round ageing affects of UVA
- Sodium Hyaluronate – forms a film of hyaluronic acid over the skin to seal in moisture
- Wild Pansy extract – promotes the renewal of hyaluronic acid in the skin surface to retain moisture, making skin plumped up and youthfully dewy
- A mix of rose hip oil, camellia oil, and anti-oxidant vitamin E which transforms a grey complexion into hydrated, mirror-shine skin
- Vitamin A to help improve skin firmness and smoothness
- Vitamin C to promote collagen activity for youthful skin
- Damask rose water and organic aloe vera for skin regeneration and fighting signs of ageing
- Extracts of Frangipani, the symbol of eternity, form a soothing, purifying and hydrating comfort-blanket on the skin
What did I think?
Charlotte’s Magic Cream is very luxurious, rich feeling, and has a beautiful pearly sheen that made my skin look instantly radiant as soon as I put it on. My skin immediately looked younger, softer, smoother, and dewy. The best way to describe how my skin looked right away when I put the cream on is that it had a youthful glow. From the first day I used this cream I started getting compliments on how amazing and radiant my skin looked. I think it’s one thing to notice the effects on yourself, but when other people notice and start to compliment you is when you really know there is a significant difference. Since I started using Charlotte’s Magic Cream my skin has a natural glow and honestly looks so young, healthy and radiant. I’ve even noticed a massive difference on those mornings after a big night out when my skin used to look tired and like all the moisture had been sucked out of it, now it looks healthy and glowing. I’m so pumped about this cream and what its been doing for my skin that I even pushed my mom to try mine out while I was visiting her in Kelowna. She noticed the same effects on her skin that I noticed on mine in just one use, but also said she noticed the appearance of fine lines was reduced significantly after just one application. I can honestly say that while I didn’t believe in the hype of expensive face creams before, I’m 100% hooked on Charlotte’s Magic Cream.
Magic Night Rescue Cream –
A genius night cream-elixir that will revolutionize your skin. The Magic Night Rescue cream is an anti-ageing, youth-boosting wonder cream-elixir that has been created to slow down the ticking time bomb of ageing and help to give you more beautiful, youthful skin. The cream is packed with 8 youth-boosting ingredients which help ransform tired and dull skin into renewed soft skin! Charlotte Tilbury claims her skin actually looks younger than it did 5 years ago from using this cream.

What did I think?
If I thought Charlotte’s Magic cream was a luxurious feeling cream, the Magic Night rescue cream blows it out of the water. To this day I still can’t believe just how rich it feels. It’s such a densely nutrient packed silky rich cream that a small amount really goes a long way. The cream is so thick I would almost compare it to a balm or a honey of sorts. After using it my skin felt plump, full of moisture, silky, and extremely healthy. You can feel and see the difference so quickly, it’s like each time you put it on your skin is drinking in this nutrient packed elixir. Even after having applied it over 8 hours earlier I can still feel the effects of the cream on my face in the morning, and I always (now) wake up with radiant looking skin. In the morning my skin feels soft and supple to the touch, and I can honestly say that I do feel like my skin looks quite a few years younger. I am definitely going to keep using this cream. Although the price point sits at $165 it’s already lasted me 3 months because you only need to use a very small amount each time. It’s 100% worth the investment.. I promise you’ll notice both creams do miracles for your skin!

I’ve really been blown away by what these products have done for my skin and I’m absolutely going to keep using them. It’s also worth noting that Charlotte Tilbury also has a Magic Eye Cream which retails for $65. I haven’t yet had the opportunity to try the eye cream but it’s definitely on my list of things I need to try ASAP.
