Impeccable Service

I wanted to start off my review by first pointing out the exceptional service at the Fairmont Chicago. The Fairmont Chicago team went above and beyond which guaranteed we had an absolutely unbelievable time during our stay. From the moment we stepped into the lobby to the moment we left, the staff was incredibly attentive. They were constantly going out of their way to ensure we were happy. Not a single employee passed us without a smile and a greeting, nor did they allow us to open our own doors which I always find is a nice touch that makes you feel extra special.

Fairmont Chicago Housekeeping

Our housekeeper was incredibly friendly, we loved her! Ever time we passed her in the hallway she would check to make sure we were okay or if we needed anything. Every evening she also performed turn down service which included:

  • Leaving beautiful classical music playing in our room
  • The blinds shut for the evening
  • Blankets turned down
  • Bottled water by the bed

We both thought the Fairmont Chicago housekeeping team went above and beyond to ensure our stay was incredible.

Fairmont Chicago Gold Lounge

The gentlemen serving in the Gold Lounge at the Fairmont Chicago were so attentive! They remembered our names from the moment we first stepped in and greeted us by name every time we stopped by. Whether it was for breakfast or tea, they never ceased to make us feel special.

It was all of these little special touches that made us feel so welcome during our stay at the Fairmont Chicago. If there’s one thing the Fairmont does exceptionally, it’s service. This was even more-so evident at the Fairmont Chicago Millennium Park.

Perfect Location

Location is always an important factor for me when figuring out which hotel I would like to stay with in a city. The Fairmont Chicago Millennium Park couldn’t have been in a more perfect location. The Fairmont Chicago is located right downtown and within walking distance of so many amazing and Instagrammable places in Chicago.

It’s around the corner from Millennium Park (if you could tell by the name!) and the infamous Bean which is a must-see when you visit. It’s also just a couple of blocks away from the Riverwalk and right downtown. It’s easy to get to all of the Chicago sights from the Fairmont and within walking distance of most. There are also tons of great restaurants and bars in the area so you never have to venture too far!

Beautiful & Spacious Rooms

We absolutely adored our extremely spacious suite at the Fairmont Chicago. Our suite featured two queen beds and an incredible corner view with floor to ceiling windows. All of the 687 rooms and suites at the Fairmont Chicago are spacious and feature:

  • A sofa
  • Desk for getting work done
  • TV
  • Coffee machine
  • Luxury Le Labo shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotions.

The beds at Fairmont Chicago were incredibly comfortable and I had some of my best sleeps ever there. The only downside I noticed was that the walls were a little thin and we could hear the family in the suite next door who had very loud children (that apparently didn’t sleep?). Bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper or ask for some from concierge who will gladly bring them to you.

An Incredible Spa

Located in the Fairmont Chicago is the beautiful on-site spa, MySpa. We were lucky enough to get to spend one glorious afternoon in the spa getting pampered during our stay. It was definitely one of the highlights of the trip! The staff in the spa were incredible and we both left feeling so relaxed and rejuvenated. I recommend booking yourself in for the Seaweed body wrap which left both of our skin feeling as smooth and soft as butter!

The Fairmont Gold Lounge

One of the best parts of staying with the Fairmont Chicago is getting to experience everything that their Gold Lounge has to offer. Available as an upgrade package with any booking (ask about it when you book!), the Fairmont Gold Package gives you:

  • Complimentary Wi-Fi
  • A dedicated concierge
  • Daily access to the Fairmont Gold Lounge

Fairmont Chicago Gold Lounge Perks

The Fairmont Gold Lounge features a hot breakfast buffet that has everything you need to ge the day started. It’s stocked with everything from eggs to pastries, smoked salmon to porridge, a full service espresso machine, every juice your heart could imagine and plates of heaping fruit salad. During the day the Gold Lounge switches over to providing afternoon tea with pastries and snacks. Around dinnertime they offer hors d’oeuvres, and desserts early evening. At the Fairmont Chicago Gold Lounge you can also pour yourself a drink from the honour system bar (at quite reasonable prices).

We loved not having to worry about where we were going to eat in the mornings. Every morning we would pop into the Fairmont Chicago Gold lounge for breakfast or grab breakfast there and bring it back to our rooms. All the snack during the day were an amazing plus too!

It was also incredibly useful for us to have Wi-Fi included. As you know – two bloggers are pretty much glued to their phones and laptops.

We had such an incredible girls weekend in Chicago and we surely have the Fairmont Chicago Millenium Park to thank for that. The Fairmont will definitely be staying at the top of my list for future trips. Have you stayed with the Fairmont?

With Love, Kirsten
