Looking for the best wineries in Kelowna for lunch to visit during your stay in the sunny Okanagan? This post is for you!
Kelowna has so many incredible wineries, and it can definitely be difficult to narrow down which ones you’d like to stop at when visiting the area.
Luckily for you, I’ve been coming to the Kelowna region a few times a year for the last 10 years and I consider myself a bit of a Kelowna winery expert.
One of my absolute favourite things to do when visiting Kelowna is to visit some of the many beautiful vineyards here for wine tastings.
And if you’re looking to elevate that tasting experience why not visit one of the amazing Kelowna wineries that have restaurants and enjoy lunch out on the patio with a bottle of wine under the sun?
There really could be no better way to spend a sunny afternoon.

Now, onto the guide of the best wineries in Kelowna for lunch!
1. Quail’s Gate Estate Winery
Address: 3303 Boucherie Rd
Quail’s Gate Estate Winery is one of the very first wineries I ever visited in Kelowna, and it has an absolutely fantastic restaurant, Old Vines Restaurant.
Quail’s Gate is one of Canada’s first family owned estate wineries.
The Stewart family who owns it has been in the viticulture business for 60 years, and Quail’s Gate has been around for 30 of those years.
There’s no surprise that Old Vines Restaurant at Quail’s Gate is one of the original winery reestaurants in West Kelowna.
Not only that, but it is one of the consistently top-ranked restaurants in the Okanagan!
One visit to Quail’s Gate Estate Winery and you will quickly see why this is definitely one of the best wineries in Kelowna for lunch.
Expect to find all sorts of light culinary delights on the menu like oysters, beef tartare and albacore tuna ceviche to share.
Plus entrees that will leave you feeling satisfied like Yarrow Meadows Duck Breast, Parisian Style Corn Gnocchi, Artic Char, and of course a 10oz Ribeye.
2. Summerhill Pyramid Winery
Address: 4870 Chute Lake Rd
The second winery on this guide to the best wineries in Kelowna for lunch is Summerhill Pyramid Winery.
Summerhill Pyramid Winery has easily been one of my favourite wineries in Kelowna for awhile.
There’s a reason why this is one of the top wedding venues in Kelowna and it’s not just because it’s beautiful and has an incredible view.
All the wines at Summerhill are also organic & biodynamic, and they make a great effort to keep their carbon footprint as low as possible.
Beyond this, Sumerhill Pyramid Winery has a great bistro which boasts an amazing menu of delicious local & organic fare with plenty of vegan options.
At Sumerhill’s bistro the focus really is on making sure that all dining options are fresh, local, and organic. I love that!
I absolutely love coming to Summerhill and enjoying lunch on the patio with a bottle of Cipes brut.
It really is the perfect Kelowna winery to come to and enjoy a beautiful lunch at!
3. Frind Estate Winery
Address: 3725 Boucherie Rd, West Kelowna
Frind Estate Winery is a fairly new winery in West Kelowna and it is definitely one of the best wineries in Kelowna for lunch!
Frind is the very first beachfront winery in all of North America, and they have a great back patio and beachside picnic space for you to enjoy lunch in the sun with a bottle of wine.
You can check out the TikTok video I made on Frind here.
At Frind Estate Winery you can dine on the patio at Annie’s Beach cafe, or choose to grab takeout and enjoy it as a picnic beach side.
Annie’s Beach Cafe offers a great selection of take-out options like pizza, sandwiches, salads, charcuterie and cheese boards, plus freshly baked pastries.
Grab yourself lunch and a bottle of wine before heading out to enjoy it with this amazing view.
In the summer you can grab a bottle of wine and some food on the patio while enjoying live music Thursdays-Sundays from 4pm – 7pm.
Annie’s Beach Cafe & Lounge patio is also open from 11am daily so it’s the perfect place to come for a great winery lunch!
4. CedarCreek Estate Winery
Address: 5445 Lakeshore Rd
CedarCreek Estate Winery is an award winning winery in Kelowna that’s not only organic, but has a great restaurant too!
If you’re looking for a great winery to visit with incredible wines and a great restaurant for lunch, CedarCreek is for you.
Join CedarCreek at their contemporary farmhouse and discover what the North Okanagan Valley has to offer, before heading to enjoy a delicious and locally sourced meal at Home Block Restaurant.
At Home Block Restaurant ingredients are sourced from CedarCreek’s very own gardens, local farmers, foragers, and ranchers.
They put the utmost effort into celebrating local ingredients and creating rusting, memorable dishes.
Home Block Restaurant offers an amazing 2 course lunch experience with wine pairings for $65 per person.
You can expect to find delicious menu items like Crispy Squid, Coal Roasted Beets & Charred Avocado Salad, Grilled Monkfish & Prawns, and Potato Gnocchi.
5. Mission Hill Family Estate Winery
Address: 1730 Mission Hill Rd, West Kelowna
Mission Hill Family Estate Winery is hands down the most beautiful winery in Kelowna.
But not only is a gorgeous place to visit, they also have an amazing restaurant too!
Mission Hill really is the most beautiful winery in Kelowna, and there is no denying that.
If you’re looking to visit a winery simply for its looks and how beautiful it is, Mission Hill Family Estate Winery will not disappoint.
Terrace Restaurant at Mission Hill has one the most beautiful restaurant views in all of the Okanagan.
If you’re looking to have lunch with an amazing view, this is definitely for you.
Everything on the Terrace menu is made either in-house, grown in the estate garden, or locally sourced from their farming partners.
Terrace Restaurant at Mission Hill offers a 2 course prix fixe menu at $70 per person.
While this certainly is not the cheapest winery lunch restaurant in the area, it is certainly an experience you will never forget.
Expect to find menu items like Salt Spring Clams & Fresh Spaghetti, Wild Mushroom Foie Gras Terrine, and Wild Scallops with Side Stripe Shrimp.
6. Mt. Boucherie
Address: 829 Douglas Rd, West Kelowna
Another great Kelowna winery with an amazing restaurant that you need to visit is Mt. Boucherie Estate Winery.
The wines here are amazing, and every time I’ve visited we’ve had such an incredible wine tasting experience.
After your wine tasting experience, head upstairs to their restaurant The Modest Butcher to enjoy a mouthwatering meal with great wine.
At The Modest Butcher, meats are sourced locally and they support Okanagan producers as best as they can.
As they mention on their website though: Sometimes something great might come from somewhere else, so we serve that too – ‘cause its great!
At The Modest Butcher you’ll find all sorts of incredible shareable eats like Seared Pork Belly, Fried Brussels, Hand Rolled Gnocchi, and of course a Boucherie Charcuterie.
All their incredible entrees (think Tenderloin, Ribeye and Pork Chop) are served with duck fat potatoes, charred broccolini, and a sauce that suits the cut best.
7. Ancient Hill Winery
Address: 4918 Anderson Rd
Ancient Hill Winery is on the edge of Kelowna, by the airport and almost in Lake Country (Lake Country has some amazing wineries and you can read my guide on those here).
Even though it’s a bit of a drive, it is 100% worth it, the grounds here are so beautiful!
This beautiful Kelowna winery is a bit of a honourable mention on this list because they don’t actually have a restaurant.
However, Ancient Hill Winery has a beautiful back garden and patio that will make you feel like you’re somewhere in Europe.
Stop by here for a tasting, then grab a bottle of wine to enjoy on their gorgeous garden patio with a picnic!
You can purchase cheese and crackers to nibble on, or bring your own picnic to enjoy along with your bottle of wine.
Ancient Hill Winery really is the perfect place to spend a beautiful sunny afternoon in Kelowna, and I couldn’t skip mentioning it on this guide to the best wineries in Kelowna for lunch.
If you love picnic lunches like me, you will love Ancient Hill!
